Africana Skincare Artisan Collaborators
Rascharles
Rascharles is our calabash expert. We collaborate with him through Africana Travels, where he leads one of our workshops in which travelers learn everything about the calabash.
Paul
Paul is the creator of all our handmade bags, crafted with his signature material: corn husk.
Paul
Paul is the artisan behind our African fabric pouches, which hold our shea butter, as well as our natural Kotsa exfoliating sponges and toiletry bags.
Adombila
Adombila is one of our local guides during our trips to Ghana. He is also the founder of the NGO Nongre, a community project in the Bolgatanga region.
Abraham
Abraham is another of our local guides on our journeys to Ghana. He also works with women’s weaving cooperatives in his region.
Women’s Shea Cooperative
To obtain our raw materials, shea butter and African black soap, we collaborate with a women’s cooperative in Northern Ghana.

FROM THE ARTISAN TO YOU
Our working method
We meet all the artisans face to face. We have conversations with them in which we ask them about their lives and ask them to share their stories.
We involve them in price negotiations, making sure they are happy with the established price.
It is not just about the initial encounter with him/her, but about maintaining the relationship and growing together. We do this through periodic visits to their workplace. We sit down with them and have a chat (just like you would with your friends).
