In this toiletry bag, Paul combines printed African fabric with a base of natural jute, creating a piece that is both durable and lightweight. Each toiletry bag is handmade in his small workshop in Accra, where he carefully attends to every detail of the production process.
    • Impact - Craftsmanship is Paul’s only job and the means by which he supports his family (his wife and two children). With each toiletry bag, you directly support his work and help sustain his craft.

    Designed for everyday use and travel: close it and take it anywhere without anything getting wet or messy. At home, remove the inner tray and use it as a base to rest your soap in the shower — water drains properly and your soap lasts much longer.

    African black soap is one of nature’s oldest and most complete cleansers. Rich in shea butter and plant ash, it cleanses deeply, balances sebum production, soothes irritation and leaves skin soft and nourished. Suitable for all skin types, including the most sensitive.

    100g of our African black soap can last anywhere from 3 months to 1 year, depending on how often you use it. It has a long shelf life, typically lasting several years. However, it's important to store it in a dry place to avoid moisture exposure. As long as the soap lathers properly and shows no signs of mould or rancidity, it will remain effective.

The production process is quite complex and can take Paul between 3 and 7 days to complete a single piece.

Apart from producing several pieces for various clients, he also usually participates in local markets as a way of exhibiting his work and being able to get more clients. Our objective is to be able to increase the demand for the African handmade bags, in order to create more work for Paul and consequently, he can invest that money in a new location from which he can work. Currently his working conditions are not the best (he shares a very small space with other family members), and he told us that he would love to be able to create his own workspace.

    Our shea butter comes as a block, not whipped or blended, to maintain its purest and longest-lasting state. Simply take a small amount and warm it slightly with your hands to apply.
    The calabash is a traditional container we've used since our beginnings to store the shea butter. Adding it to your order not only adds a special touch, but also allows you to reuse it and store sheabutter, soap, or even as a decorative item.
